MUAY THAI TRAINING BY THAI CHAMPIONS AT UFC GYM BANDRA

The Royal Thai Consulate invited Thai Fighters to conduct Muay Thai Training at UFC GYM Bandra

Mumbai: India’s bilateral relations with Thailand are rooted in history, age-old social and cultural interactions and extensive people-to-people contacts. In the past two decades, with regular political exchanges, growing trade and investment, India’s ties with Thailand have now evolved into a comprehensive partnership.

On the eve of 75 years of this partnership, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Mumbai partners with UFC GYM India to extend the training of their popular MMA sport through their top athletes Supawit Chaisiri (Kru Bank) and Anusorn Sor Ruya (Kru Tum) to the Indian brethren at the UFC GYM Bandra facility in Mumbai.

Muaythai, also referred to as the art of 8 limbs which include 2 fists, 2 feet, 2 elbows and 2 knees, is a martial art and one of the most demanding combat sports that uses stand-up striking along with various clinching techniques. It’s a total body HIIT workout. A fun and efficient way to burn fat and lose weight that also builds your core, flexibility, and overall strength. It also builds confidence, dedication and determination.

Mr. Donnawit Poolsawat, Consul General, Royal Thai Consulate-General in Mumbai states, “On the occasion of the 75th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between Thailand and India, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Mumbai extends this training session to the Indian audience in association with UFC GYM India. Global Music Video Dots World Bindi Day To Celebrate Womanhood

And now it is World Bindi Day that was celebrated this Navratri. Karmanye Kreations is a US based media conglomerate and an initiative by a few NRIs with an objective dedicated to producing content on the culture and history of Indic civilization has come out with a music video about the importance of the Bindi.

The video featuring Dr Sonal Mansingh,  Mata Rajyalaxmi, Malini Awasthi, Aroona Bhatt, Anusha Srinivasan Iyer, Simran Kaur Mundi, Manjari Phadnis, Nyra Bannerjee, Ragini Dwivedi, Anchal Dwivedi, Kainaat Arora, Shibani Kashyap, Nivedita Basu, among others was put recently on the social media during Navratri. The Bindi Song has been sung by Shweta Pandit, Composed by Hriday Gattani with Lyrics by Shivangi Tewari. The video is produced by Karmanye Kreations and Shilpi Shrivastav with Music on Advait Music featuring women from various walks of life.

“The video will give a global appeal to all the women around the world to wear Bindi with pride as a mark of women empowerment. A letter to officially designate a World Bindi Day has been sent to the United Nations by WorldBindiDay.org. World Bindi Day concept was conceived by few NRIs last year, when it was decided that the pious day for this beautiful concept should be the start of Navratri, which emphasizes women empowerment and their importance in the society. Hence the first day of Navratri was formalized as World Bindi Day. To make it a global initiative and spread the word among millions of women around the globe, the idea to compose a music video was conceived by Karmanye Kreations, US. The song and the video were thus made to share with the world the significance of putting up a Bindi as a mark of each woman’s pride and a symbol of women empowerment,” says Anannt Srivastava of Karmanye Creations.

“A new Bindi song will be released next year too. Next year’s plan is to reach out to celebrities, social workers, eminent personalities from around the globe to support this initiative and also appear in the video,” adds Annant.

“I was attracted to the concept of coming up with a song. The song will show how the Bindi described the Indian woman. It perfectly explains the reason and pride behind wearing the bindi,” says Shweta who has sung the number.

“I think a woman’s beauty is enhanced by wearing a Bindi. I sometimes wear a Bindi on casual and western wear too. I have noticed it gives me a distinct persona. Other women should try it to see the difference,” says Anchal Dwivedi.

“I wear bindi as it is part of my Indian culture and tradition and I am  truly proud of it. It also activates the third eye – the pituitary gland – which is in the middle of the eyebrows!” says Shibani Kashyap. “My Bindi is the essence of  existence. Without it I am incomplete. It gives me strength and the power to stand up for right and against wrong. The bindi is the sixth chakra point and my third eye to view the world,” elaborates Anusha Srinivasan Iyer.

“The significance of beauty and strength in one bindi … the essence of womanhood culture and pride. I love to wear it each day with each outfit; it only makes the look better and stronger,” opines Ragini Dwivedi.

5th Global Fashion And Design Week Added Colors To Life

Noida: “Love, Peace and Unity through art and culture is the theme of 5th Global Fashion Week 2021 and we have tried our best to bring in 52 countries this time on the ramp. The colorful dresses are adding not only the colors of flags but representing flora and fauna of that country,” said Sandeep Marwah President of the festival addressing large gathering anxiously waiting for the global fashion show.

“Fashion is what you’re offered four times a year by designers. And style is what you choose. I think there is beauty in everything. What ‘normal’ people would perceive as not good, I can usually see something of beauty in it. I am already impressed by the quality of work shown by young designers from all over India,” added Sandeep Marwah also President of AAFT School of Fashion and Design.

Designers like Zahwa Akhter presented collection in the second round where the inspiration was from country of  United Kingdom, Prtishtha Prabhat preferred  Sudan, Abhimanyu Sethi  finalized with Kyrgyzstan, Evana Singh also opted forKyrgyzstan, Smiriti Prabhaker desigs were totally influenced by Georgia, Harshit Chetan designs were inclined towardsArmenia, Tarun Kishore opted Hungary, Karishma Madan went for Cambodia, Taripti Narula managed good with Egypt, Rohan looked for Nigeria, Puja Prajapati selected Kazakhstan, Kiran Roy & Sargm Priya chosen Lesotho, Guny Singhal worked for Bahamas, Geetanjali Pokhral loved the works from Slovenia and  Mansi Arya  designed in relation to Iceland. 

Ritu Lal Director AAFT School of Fashion and Design extended her heartiest thanks to everyone present in he auditorium for encouraging young designers. AAFT Event Director Haripriya , ICMEI Director Rajiv Mathur, Radio Noida Director Sushil Bharti, Marwah Studios Director Viney Kumar Sabikhi, complete staff and management of AAFT School of Fashion and Design were deeply involved in organizing the first day of festival.

Susi Ganeshan’s Bollywood Film Is Titled DIL HAI GRAY

Director Susi Ganeshan recently finished the shooting of his much-hyped film that stars Vineeth Kumar Singh, Urvashi Rautela and Akshay Oberoi in pivotal roles. The movie is a remake of the Tamil super-hit film ‘Thiruttu Payale 2’.

The film is currently under the post-production stage and the makers announced the title of the movie on the auspicious day of Dassehra. The movie is titled ‘Dil Hai Gray’. The film is likely to be released in mid-December 2021.

The film is backed by ace national award-winning producer M Ramesh Reddy from Bangalore who has also kept the remake rights of this film in Telugu and Karnataka. Reddy is making his entry into Bollywood as a producer under his banner “ Suraj production’ in association with susi ganeshan’ s production house “ 4v entertainment “ .

  

The movie is a thriller – drama, deals with  hot topic of  phone taping in police department and how a cute family got stuck with an intruder.

Pop stars Omar Gooding and Leslee Lewis join hands with The ATG & Kyyba Films to release the music video of their song Entourage

MMC DISMISSES CASE AGAINST DR YUSUF MERCHANT

Maharashtra Medical Council dismissed a complaint against Dr. Yusuf Merchant and exonerated him of all the charges, levelled and framed against him.

Dr. Yusuf Merchant was represented by Adv. Shabnam Latiwala and Dr Gopinath Shenoy.

Advocate Latiwala states that according to the order dated 31/03/2021 The Governing Council of MMC declared that Dr.Yusuf Merchant has not committed any violation of the Code of Medical Ethics or Professional Misconduct.

The Maharashtra Medical Council also held that there was no evidence to substantiate the allegations levelled against Dr.Yusuf Merchant.

Adv. Shabnam Latiwala said that Justice has finally prevailed. Adding further, she said, there was no merit and no evidence at all in the case as observed by the Maharashtra Medical Council. The entire case was a frivolous and malicious prosecution as all the charges against Dr.Yusuf Merchant were baseless and unsubstantiated.

Adv. Shabnam Latiwala states that her client was vindicated  by some disgruntled elements, who are trying to bring discredit and disrepute to her client and stop him from working in the arena of Rehabilitation of Substance Abusers. The said persons, supported by an unregistered and recently formed social organization PARA, tried getting a media trial for my client.

A question therefore arises, as to whether it actually exists or is a fictitious entity floated with sole purpose of maligning Dr. Merchant by creating a media campaign against him and discredit his good work.

According to Dr. Gopinath Shenoy,” Meaningless and baseless allegations have now become a norm. It is legalised harassment and extortion that doctors and other professionals are subject to nowadays.”

It was Dr Merchant, who got the deadly drug MCAT ( Meow Meow) banned in India by filing a PIL, when no one wanted to take on the Drug Mafia even at the cost of the youth of India.

He made many enemies since 1988 due to his All india drug prevention campaigns; and more so after MCAT (Meow Meow) was banned. Dr Merchant had filed a PIL to ban the deadly drug MCAT.

Dr Yusuf Merchant has also received threatening and extortion calls for Rs. Three crores, in the past.

Few months ago, MMC had received a complaint from one PARA alleging that they represented victims and levelled various charges against Dr. Yusuf Merchant. However, PARA itself is an unregistered body and does not even have an address.

This complaint against Dr Merchant is a gross abuse of benevolent provisions of laws. A reputable person is being subjected to ignominy of facing a hearing in a complaint, which as per the Maharashtra Medical Council is nothing but without any merit.

Dr Yusuf Merchant is the founder president of Drug Abuse Information Rehabilitation and research centre, in Mumbai. He has developed a highly successful rehabilitation program for drugs addicts and patients of anxiety. His rehabilitation through community living program began 37 years ago at his own residence.

Dr Merchant does not believe in giving medication but sees his rehab through community living as a half way home. It helps addicts and others to reintegrate back into society.

His novel rehabilitation through community living is a non-medical intervention. It is believed that his success rate is over 85 % for people who have completed the program.
